I NEED advice!!!!!!!!!!!!?

i REALLY like this guy and ive seen him look at me lke only 2 times one of my bffz thnks i should ask him out the other one thinks i have NO chance cuz he rlly cute....one of my guy frndz tld me he wld ask him out for me but im rlly scared cuz my crush knoz ALOT of girls that are WAY PRETTIER then me on my opinion.......so should ask him out or just give up????/
