Geez.... alright, some advice from a new adult. Calm down. One day of stuffing urself will not do anything. At the most you'll only gain like what 4 lbs. N thats at th most. Don't worry about it. Play basketball (more than 5 min.) as often as possible and you'll b fine. Trust me. I-eat-a-lot. I gain and lose like 8 lbs evry 2 days (bleve it or not). Teenagers are too obsessed wit their weight these days. If u r athletic, even if u r heavy, it is probly mostly muscle fat.

How can I gain more confidence at work and be taken seriously in meetings?

Here's the thing - I recently got a promotion at work, which I'm very pleased about but of course requires me to take on a lot more responsibilities. Im ok with the pressure except for one thing - having to do meetings with clients by myself or speaking up in meetings. I have always had social anxiety, but I don't think this is the only factor making me nervous. Same stomach virus affects people differently?

Yes it is possible for a virus to affect people differently. This happened to my family this past Christmas. Almost everyone got it. My sister, cousin, and my mom ended up throwing up, whereas my aunt and my dad got diarrhea. Luckily I didn't get it though. Make sure everyone says hydrated. Gatorade is really good, and pedialite is good for small children. Oh, and don't take the docs word that it was just a sinus infection. Obviously it wasn't, so if anyone doesn't feel better within a few days it would be best to go see the doc again, perhaps even another one.

How can I become a real tumbler?

I'm 15 years old and I know how to tumble. I can do roundoff back hand springs, back flips, ariels, cartwheels, etc. The problem is, I've taken cles to learn these skills but I have never been on a team. I've never had enough money to be on a team and I also played softball for a while and that distracted me from tumbling. I have recently quit softball because I have realized that tumbling is my one sports pion. Like whenever I hear about tumbling or gymnastics I get excited and the other day in cl I was thinking about how much fun it would be to go to a gym and practice. I'm scared it's too late for me. I just want there to be a tumbling cl that is recreational but competes with other teams in the area. Like other rec. sports do. I still need to practice a few moves. Like standing back tucks and round off back hand spring back tucks but whenever I tumble I feel so happy and even though I haven't been on an official team, I've been tumbling since I was about 7. Maybe younger. It's just natural for me and I really want to embrace my skills. I just don't know what to do and it seems like no one knows how to help me. Is there any way I could tumble on a team without being on a competitive team or in a little kid cl? thanks!

that happens to me all the time. Have you tried turning it off then back on? That's what I try first, but if your screen won't turn on in order to do that then I usually just let the battery run out then charge it. This iPod touch curse on your ipod shouldn't last for long though.

My best friend's sister is the problem?

My best friend, Melanie has a sister called Jessica. Both me and Melanie are 14 and Jess is 5. Mel and her family moved to Germany 3 years ago and they come to visit us 3-4 times a year. Ok so i was planning on buying a pair of marbled salamanders. The cage i was thinking of making for them was a 10 gallon with a rock outcrop kinda thing with moss growing on it then a sectoin of gravel/pebble water area. I heard the tactic about blending up moss and adding ermilk/beer and spreading the past on rock to grow. I was planning on doing that on the rock. Should i add a dirt section or anything? im going to put sticks and stuff just was wondering about the rest. Also what would be a good diet for them? Earthworms? Crickets? I know there heat and lighting and everything so im good on that.

ok, so Ive always had feelings toward my step father and tonight my granmda and I were just talking about things and I began to tell her about my feelings. My mother married him when I was 4 along with being a very harsh father he made me feel very uncomfortable ually. I dont ever remember him doing anything but I used to have a lot of feelings up until the time I moved out at age 19. When I was in the 5th grade or so I went through a spell where I had very very bad nightmares...of which I dont remember...my grandma remembers this. As I became older and went through puberty he would make comments about my ...ie I used to have a little dog and I would play with her in the floor and he would tell her to "bite me in the s". When I would leave panties out that were clean and folded he would make comments about them(had a pair that said sweet cheeks or something and he said why do you need panties that say that when you already have one anyway), when I walked by him while he was in his chair in the living room he would try to tap me on the ...I got to were I would walk way away from him so he couldnt touch me. As I got older about 16 or so I remember waking up with my pj bottoms down to my ankels several times...I got to were I would lock my door and put a chair under my closet door as it connected to his office and there wasnt a lock. I also for some reason used to think he put camera's in my room ( i know this is not realistic) but I would get dressed in my closet with the lights out and take showers with my swim-suit on...why would I have all these feelings? I have a 5 year niece that I watch very closely when she is around him...I have a very uneasy feeling about it...anytime they are sleeping together or she is sitting in his lap I watch his hands. Lastly I have struggled greatly with getting close with my husband...he is the only man I have ever been with ually. I used to feel dirty after , I dont like to go without a bra...it makes me feel dirty I dont like sitting on mens laps...I hated sitting on my step fathers, he always wanted me to when I was young. I dont know if its just feelings Ive had over the years and not the actual act of being ually abused...or what. If they are repressed wouldnt I be able to remember since Im wanting to?? what can I do??

Hey guys I'm trying to decide what I should do to get a job or start a career that I wouldn't have to struggle to make ends meet with. I'm not expecting riches, but just something that pays the bills. I'm in college right now and I'm failing. I've tried to focus and get my work done but it's rly hard for me it's rly not my thing. It's been that way in high school too. I'm a smart person - I ped all of my AP exams - most of them with a score of 4. I'm a great tester, but when it comes to getting my work done I have tried and tried again and I have real trouble motivating myself or focusing. I've also always wanted to be a singer/songwriter/musician, but I need to have time for that - to be able to write songs and everything, so I would really love to hear some options about careers or jobs that would pay decently per hour so I could pay the bills and still find time to work on my music. Long story short_both me and my son have recently been ill to our stomach...on and off...doctors etc. couldnt pin point anything..than i find a bottle hidden in the back of my spice cubbord called Melatonin Plus for stress releif and sleep aid, needless to say my son and I have had a serious change in our sleeping pattern as well.In theory fits the discription on the bottle up until i read the part that said it was a dietary suppliment and contained 180 pills. well when i opened the bottle it was a dark liquid similar to an espresso shot but diluted with water or something but still contained that mucky thick coffee look and if that isnt bad enough the smell was outragious. it smells really strong making me feel dizzy immediately after smelling it and the order was the same scent as a cat had sprayed~Now times that by ten is the only way i might be able to stress to you the potency of what this stuff smelled like.Question is does this sound familiar to anybody who might have some insight on a Name perhaps along with its side affects? Alright there are many different things you can get but it can be expensive. My suggestion is to start trading cards with other people if you don't have that many cards. Regarding your deck, Take out any cards that reduce life points only (such as ookazi) and any cards that need a specific foundation to activate (syncro boost). Another good idea is to decide to create a deck based on a specific archtype. With your deck i would get mor x-sabers. If you have the money screw the starter deck and buy card out of the pack "Light of Destruction" and focus on a Lightsworn archtype. A good website to test decks for free or just play around is byond.com. Use the game DuelMonstersUnlimited and I garuntee you will get a whole lot better.

I feel that the reason for the uncontrolled talking is the effect of a high level of stress. I think that you should try to relax and find an activity to ease stress. Stress can be very fatal if it isn't addressed properly. For example take a nice bath with soft instrumentals and light nice candles or just dance to music in your home. It seems that exercises would work for you since after you exercises your body releases endorphins which make you feel better and theres positive effects in working out like stress relief. If things get outta hand always you can contact a therapist or doctor. But remember to stay calm and address this with confidence. Good luck ^_^

I thought it was a good movie. The problem with people these days, is that when movies come out that religious leaders are not too fond of, other people join them in blasting the movie rather than enjoy the movie for the story. Advice needed about my 17yo sister who lets our 13yo brother sleep with her?

I've been noticing lately that on most mornings when I walk past my sister's room after waking up, she will be in bed asleep with our brother. She only wears a nightshirt to bed without underwear and he sleeps wearing only boxers, I found birth control pills in her room and she doesn't have a boyfriend, so I'm wondering if this is just an innocent thing, or should I say something before curiousity & hormones get the better of those two...if it hasn't happened already? How to switch back to normal sleeping hours?

When my friend changed from day shift to night shift she changed very easily, no problems at all, she said it was as if she lived in the other hemisphere and had those hours normally all her life. That was 5 months ago. Two weeks ago she was thinking of changing back to day shift. But they said they were out of day shift jobs so she quit the job wanting something else. Anyway she's having a lot of problems getting back to normal. Now I haven't seen her (we don't live close, she's like 1200miles/1900km away but in the same time zone. She's far north, I'm far south. I know her personally, she moved to the north years ago.) but this is what she says. She wakes up at noon or a bit later and spends the rest of the day, and at night when she wants to sleep at 10 she can't, keeps getting restless and watches movies and episodes of tv series both on her dvds and online on similar websites like youtube, listens to music, browses the internet, paces around her flat, reads, and so on. Whenever she tries sleeping again she can't. She stays awake in bed and gets restless again. Anyway she finally sleeps at like 5 or 6 am. Then won't get up until noon or as late as 2 pm. It's the same schedule she had when she had the night shift. She doesn't really have any other friends she can ask, she's pretty much only has me and some random acquaintancess she doesn't really talk to. And the other other person she asked told her to take a sleeping pill.. She also isn't really in touch with family, she fell out with them-that's one reason she moved years ago because of their nagging and treating her like a baby. So really I'm the only one she really talks to. Anyway I told her to stop browsing the internet and watching stuff and to just listen to soft and calm instrumental music (not loud or loud/soft stuff she's been listening to like symphonies/concertos or her pop/rock songs) or mediation music and well, she says she hates that stuff and that it gets her nerves. I'm not sure what else to suggest. What can you suggest?

I feel we have improved mind not soul. We are animals still and probably will be until god shows us our wrongs,. Most ppl will disagree with me saying they have evolved. well sure u have physically we have adapted to climates etc.... mentally we have evolved from learning, but sadly our souls seem to be stagnant and not growing much. that is why we're here ...not for body or mind but for soul. I have a question about ovulation tests?

So my husband and I have been ttc for 11 months now, we just recently REALLY started trying by using ff, opk's and pre-seed. I took a clear blue digi test on the 16th of this month and got a big fat smiley face... so when dh got home we bd'd. We also bd'd on the 9th 10th 13th 14th 15th and 16th. I took another clear blue test the same day but about 12 hours apart and it was still positive. The next morning I took a test and it was negative. I am what I approximate at 10 dpo today, and just for the heck of it i decided to take a saliva test on my ovulite, and I got partial ferning. I am confused by this. Has any one had this happen? or know why this would happen? Ever since O day I have been having light cramping,stretching and pulling feeling in my lower abdomen.I feel all bloated and heavy in my lower abdomen. And my started to hurt about 4 days ago. Maybe I am pregnant? I am planning on taking a hpt on sunday :)
