MY QUESTION PERTAINS TO A MEDICATION THAT I FOUND IN MY CUBBORD CALLED MELATONIN PLUS FOR STRESS AND SLEEP?

Long story short_both me and my son have recently been ill to our stomach...on and off...doctors etc. couldnt pin point anything..than i find a bottle hidden in the back of my spice cubbord called Melatonin Plus for stress releif and sleep aid, needless to say my son and I have had a serious change in our sleeping pattern as well.In theory fits the discription on the bottle up until i read the part that said it was a dietary suppliment and contained 180 pills. well when i opened the bottle it was a dark liquid similar to an espresso shot but diluted with water or something but still contained that mucky thick coffee look and if that isnt bad enough the smell was outragious. it smells really strong making me feel dizzy immediately after smelling it and the order was the same scent as a cat had sprayed~Now times that by ten is the only way i might be able to stress to you the potency of what this stuff smelled like.Question is does this sound familiar to anybody who might have some insight on a Name perhaps along with its side affects? Anything would be helpful at this point.thanx and we appreciate any efforts to help with our question.
