Wearing hosiery with open toe heels?

Is it OK? With open toe you can see the thick part of the toe area. Also, which is more attractive, nude or sheer black? I have long legs. Nude is more natural and matches skin, so how is it noticeable? it still refines the legs, but i thought the attractiveness of pantyhose and the point was for people to know that your wearing it, so i usually wear sheer black and get a lot of stares. I think i deserve it for wearing hose, because not many young people do nowadays.
