Could we possibly be witnessing a well needed Islamic Reformation/Age of Enlightenment?

Do current events in Tunisia, and other places, mean that Islam may finally be on its way to a Reformation, entering an Age of Enlightenment where they can still be moslem but accept that they are living in a larger, civilized world?
