How do you enter a Fantasy Sports live draft?

My Fantasy BBALL draft is tonight. On 'My Team' page, it has a countdown clock to the start of the draft. How will I enter the draft when it begins? Will i have to click on anything or will i go straight into it? And also, one of my friends wont be able to draft, so will his team be on autopick?
