Will there be a global economic collapse?

I have watched Zeitgeist Addendum and Zeitgeist: Moving Forward and they both present info on how the monetary system will not work and that a collapse is imminent... I've also read that there are inaccuracies in the data zeitgeist presents, so I have been having trouble separating truth from exaggeration, and etc. I need to find a good updated source about current resource depletion rates, details on the economy, etc., and I really need a good understanding of the economy, and the monetary system to figure all this out. I'm 14 so I am having trouble finding good sources. Does any one know of any good sources, or reference I can use. Are there also any mathematical ramifications that our economic system presents? Thanks.
